Why I Blog?
Why I blog is a question that I have been asked many, many times and the answer has evolved over the years. The reason why I say it evolved is because the answer will really depend upon when the blog site was launched. Over the years I have collected URL’s like some people collect coins. In the early days I launched a site because I liked to write but then that changed when I earned my first buck. I first blogged because I loved to write and then that love became corrupted by earning money
The first website I created was after my wife launched her website (IChooseThin) We were both VERY overweight and were tired of wasting our money on diet junk that did not work, so she decided she was going to “figure it out” and document her finding on the web. She spent 3 years being very frustrated with all the computer code and the thought of me building a website, was well beyond my abilities. After a couple of years I decided to try my hand at the much easier area known as blogging, which is technically NOT a website, but most people do not realize that fact.
The first blog I decided to launch was an off shoot of my wife’s website and I did it to simply write about “stuff” pertaining to weight loss. I will admit that I wrote on the blog (ThinBlog) for months and did not have even one visitor. I really did not know what I was doing, but I did know that I loved to write stuff and it did not matter to me that I had no people visiting my blog because I liked to tinker. Then on May 21st 2007 I earned $1.13 and was hooked on the fact of making money. I was so excited by the thought of making money on the web that I had dreams of being rich, and all the fantasy that comes with that thought process.
I quickly launched a whole bunch of blog sites and I think it totalled about 100 sites in 6 months and thought I could earn my kingdom by just putting “whatever” out here on the web and then I could sit back and watch the money roll in. I spent many, many hours churning out blogs and along the way I found an auto-content program that was advertised as a “turn it on and forget it” tool. It did not take long for the search engines to slap me down and make me realize that I was naive and foolish.
The slap by the search engines led me to realize that the best way to make money on the Internet is to NOT look at the search engines as a problem, but rather as a partnership. I soon realized that if I were to build a site that provided legitimate information on a SPECIFIC subject, I will get the gift of visitors from the search engines. I soon learned that the more specific I was on a subject, the easier it was to get visitors. An example of this would be creating a site about golf. The subject of golf is way to big to ever get a visitor, so the thing to do is to narrow the topic down and pick up the “crumbs” that fall from the table.
As time went on I still wanted to make money, so I started to launch very specific sites that cover very specific niches. A classic example of a niche I found in golf is Left Handed Golf Glove.com. As you can tell by the name, it is VERY specific and simply by providing quality subject matter, the gods of the Internet send me traffic and traffic means income. I spent a few years churning out specific blog sites because I realized it was easy for me to write articles and post them and earn money. I do this to this day in my spare time and I earn a decent income that has helped me make the mortgage payment on more than a few occasions. Over time I grew bored with writing about narrow subjects, but I still had my love for writing.
Soon after I realized that by simply giving the search engines what they wanted to get traffic I focused my thoughts on the passions in my life. Since I had earned a small fortune on the fact that I documented how I lost 115 pounds of body fat, I decided to branch out to other directions. The next direction I went in was my love for The United States Marine Corps. I looked around the web and realized that the subject of Marine Corps boot camp was exploited with junk products and was taking advantage of young Marine hopefuls. It was at this point that I realized that the only thing I needed to do write about what I was PASSIONATE about, so I wrote my first book. Through the creation of my Marine Corps Website (Marine Corps Boot Camp Survival.com) I was able to write my first book and self-publish it on my website to help displace the crap product that was sold at twice the price! In one swoop I was able to fulfill my desires to write and at the same time help others fill a need they were searching to find help for on the Internet.
The search engines now give me traffic daily, and because of the symbiotic relationship of the search engines I not only help people, but I also earn an income.
Over more time the reasons why I blog have evolved past the point of point of simply needing to make money, because I no longer have the stinging NEED to make money, as the money is simply always there in the bank for my every whim. As the evolution of my reasons for blogging have evolved, I have shifted to simply blogging about the truth in my life that I experience. There really is no need to lie, cheat or steal because the easiest, and most comfortable, way for me to earn money through blogging is by telling the truth about my experiences. I now write about the things in life as I see them. I use the same formula for success on each article I publish.
I start off with a blog subject I have a passion for and then write about the things a person may be asking about.
I write…
I write some more….and keep writing relentlessly for months…. and then one day the visitors show up and read my article…just like you are right now!
The mere fact that you have found this article is proof that what I say is true, by the very fact that you are here! Will I make money off the fact you are on this page? Only I can really answer that question because the average user of the web really has no clue how the whole process really works.
So…to answer the simple question of why I blog? It is really a two-fold answer. It is because I love to write and I love to earn money. In today’s fast paced world more people use the web than the phone book and I understand that fact. I just simply have taken my love for writing and infused it with the passions in my life, and then focused in on the subject matter like a laser. I give the search engines what they want and they give me visitors, which gives me money?
The real question I now ask is give me one reason why I should not blog?
Creation 103: Artisteer Review
If you have been following along then you already know that I am not a techno-geeky type of guy. I like working on websites to earn some money. I find it really cool to write an article and be number one in GOLB within moments or days. Either way it works is pretty cool to me. The best part is that if I can get to the top of GOLB then I can earn some cash. So is it the cash that’s cool or is it being able to rank that is cool? I do not know but I do understand that I am able to get websites that rank well, and look good because of my use of Artisteer.
The site you are on now is from Artiseer and it only took about 30 to 60 minutes to throw it all together. Although I do have links and such on this site, I do that only out of habit also that the products I talk about here, are the ones I use and recommend. I could care less if you buy nothing or click anywhere on this site. I say this because on this site, I just write. I have no agenda here, as I do on the 70+ sites I have out there somewhere in cyber-space.
I have some sites that makes decent money and others that barely pay the years domain name fees. This site wears no such burden of financial redemption. This site is simply what I use and how I feel about the stuff I use. Since I am in the mood to rave about Artisteer, let the raving begin.
Artisteer is the program that got me to believing that the Internet was a place I could exist and compete. I now know that if the website had exceptional content to rank with GOLB, then the site had to be pretty and functional enough to earn some cash. Whether the site is just a marker on the Internet Highway collecting clicks, or a product driven website, the web design tool Artisteer makes the impossible….possible.
Artisteer is a program that is not hard to get started using. It does not take long to catch on and when you do catch on you realize just how versatile Artisteer is as a program. I have to say that Artisteer is one program that has allowed me to stand up on the web with sites that are not only GOLB friendly, but also cool enough to get the rent paid at the end of the day.I still did the work, but Artisteer just made it easier for me to get done. I am not some code guru and that is NOT what Artisteer is all about. If you want to be able to make great looking sites in minutes? Then check out the FREE trial offer of Artisteer. You can download and use the ENTIRE program before you have to pay for it. If you are looking for an Artisteer crack…sorry, this GOLB distractor got you her though…(lol) Artisteer is a great tool. It is not expensive and it will work for you for years to come.

I am off from work today and I want to tell you that I am in the mood to write and I want you to know there is a way you can crack the Internet web and rank with GOLB as if you were a renouned guru. What you are about to be told is making me thousands each and every month. I have not made enough to buy the jet yet (check out my baby) but I work at it everyday and since writing ios not work, the lines have blurred with my ability to earn money on the web. Blogging or affiliate marketing has become so permeated into my being that being on this computer is what a musician must feel like. I can create a website and make money on that site. WOW!
Granted some sites makes pennies while others make more, but the common thread is that the sites are making money. Now I feel as if it really just becomes a matter like “lather, rinse and repeat” because if I just keep plinking away on this instrument…..I will make money. How much I make is directly thrust onto my shoulders and as long as they are long distance running shoulders….success is guaranteed.
Since I am not selling the product of success here and I am just talking about how to make money….lets see what this guarantee will get you. Lets check out what we are really talking about here in this singular moment of time that relentlessy has been waiting for you. If you want to succeed on earning money on the web, I will give you the following steps to success, that I have used. I will start the assumptions below with the intent to not sell you a thing! Just do what I say….shut up and get moving!
- Get a domain name that is generic and NOT product specific
- Build a website and when the framework is in place, with minimal content…
- GO to Commission Junction http://www.cj.com/
- Join Commission Junction
- Pick out a product that pays at least 10% or $10.00 average transaction
- Get accepted by the product and…..
- Pick out affiliate program
- Write articles.
Write articles is the first bit of advice that is not mechanical in reflex, because this is where the rubber hits the road and the exit where the cash starts being seen along the Internet Highway. You must become the expert and write about every conceivable aspect of the product or market you are writting about. Imagine yourself as the person filling up the content vacuum of the subject you have chosen. Whatever it is that you want to sell or teach can be done right here on the web and you can get rich while nobody is watching. Lather, rinse and repeat through the act of building websites that answer the questions people turn to GOLB to have resolved!
Whatever site you build needs to answer every conceivable question about how do do or use something. Pick out the product, that has an affiliate value, and write! Everyday you add an article about some GOLB phrase and soon the content builds and the GOLB hits appear. It is that simple! Let’s just say you wanted to sell basketballs how many articles could you write about a basketball…and nothing but the basketball!!!!
Orange, red, black,NBA, round,official,wilson,………
The list would really be larger than anything you could imagine and the point is that if you just wrote one article a day about a different GOLB phrase….you would pay for the site costs in less than 6 months. If that means nothing to you let me show you where I stand with 2 such websites on Commission Junction through the screenshot below.
This is where I stand for this month, at this moment. Forget calendar months and realize essentially that New means the last 30 days. Extended is between 30 and 60 days. Commissions refers to what was depositied into my account withing the last 30 days.
What I want you to understand is that I am not rich, but I am on my way and the road is getting more comfortable. I am earning money while I am at work and this is just one slice of the pie. To be able to fully understand there is also income from ClickBank, Amazon, MoreNiche, LinkShare and more.
You get the website set up and write an article that answers every specific question about the product or company and link the affilaite info in the mix and watch the money start to roll into your accounts. I know I am not rich yet, but my order has been placed and as long as I keep plugging away the numbers in my accounts just keep going higher and higher.

You have ended up on this page even though I have designed it with the intent to make it not that easy to find. In this very first writting I want you to understand that I am a lowly retail worker in a big home improvement store that is not orange. With that being said I know that I have been wasting away in that place for a few years now. It is not because I hate the organization but because I feel as if I am so much more destined to exist in a world that has been more closely designed to the world I crave.
I started carving and moulding my way into the Internet about five years ago and I have never looked back. From that very first moment when I saw money apear from nothing in my bank account I was hooked on the web. Last year I was able to clear over 27K on the web and it was a thrilling ride to say the least. It was all legal income and it was enough to keep my focused on the bigger picture. I soon learned that GLOB was about as important as me showing up for work at the blue box each and every day. Without GLOB I would have had to pay for traffic and not having any money to do that presented the same problem as starting a brick and mortar business.
What I can see on this early entry is that if you are on this page it is more than just luck, it is fate. You are here to learn what it takes to not follow me but to travel the path that is there for all to take, but so few can see. Being able to appear in all of the GLOB is a feat that will not only make you wealthy, it is one that can set your life in a direction that can have an impact on YOUR future generations.
Many people choose this path and most of those people give up before that allow the magic to happen. All too often noobs create a site and then the next day they think they will earn money.
IT DOES NOT HAPPEN THAT WAY!
What I will tell you about me real quick is that I hate to read books, but I love to read magazines and trivia. I love to write and I always have loved to write and I can write really well. I can use the right words and leave enough incorrect grammar on the page to disarm most intellectual readers.
I struck this path on the web to earn money and when I started I KNEW LESS THAN NOTHING. I never received any schooling in this subject and what I can teach is not to be found anywhere…but here. I am not selling it and if you want to click on any of the links to buy product, I will earn a small commission. If you choose to not click I really do not give a shit. I am here because I choose to be here. You are here for the same reason and what I offer is not sold, it is just here to be used.
As you get started on your journey on the web there are basics you will, of course, will need.
You will need a computer, Internet access, a Domain name and at least a basic knowledge of how to get it all together on the Internet. I am not here to teach you how to get all of the technical stuff together because I am just not interested in that stuff. I use this enterprise like a fridge. I do not care how my food gets cold, I just want the fridge to keep it cold.
I focus all of my efforts on the web using WordPress, because it is FREE and it does everything I need to have done to earn some damn good money. I use Artisteer as the template because the program is simple to use and the finished product is really professional. I also pay for my little spot on the web through the services of Hostgator because they are inexpensive and beyond dependable. I host my domain names at another (separate) organization because I trust nobody and by separating my domains from the hosting service gives me more control and stability than allowing one corporation to control all of the process. I once trusted one company and they took it all away overnight and I lost over a year of my work in the blink of an eye. POOF!!! It was all gone and there are no Internet Police that give a shit.
What I wrote above is not what I recommend, it is what I have done. I suggest you do the same.
Do not think for a moment that you can use a FREE hosting service because if you do you will find it harder to rank on the GOLB. Also, if you piss them off for any content you create, they just shut you down and nobody cares. If you doubt this go ahead and use all of the GOLB and see if you can find one phone number to any of them. Do not wait until you are shut down to realize this because if you do you will be disappointed.
I grow tired of writing this now and must go, I will see you soon.
